However, she did return for the BMW Ladies Championship last weekend. Nelly Korda has been in a tough spot this year. After her consecutive defeats at the LPGA events, with the Solheim Cup being the most significant, the player had taken a three-week hiatus. She returned to the greens last week for the BMW Ladies Championship, where she finished at T16 with a score of 279. 

For an overall gist of her season performance, in her recent five tourneys, Korda has secured one top-10 finish and four top-20 finishes. With an average finish of 16, an average score of -8, and 15 made cuts in 17 tournaments over the year, the golfer has earned $1.6 million in total.  

Korda currently occupies the 6th spot on the world ranking leaderboard. Selected on the basis of her CME Globe Points, the player is going to be a part of the LPGA Maybank Championship

The upcoming tournament is of grave importance for Korda, as it will stand for her as a ground to redeem her spot on the top of the LPGA leaderboards again.

At the BMW Ladies Championship, Nelly Korda’s performance left a lot unsated. She struggled on par-3s, scoring a birdie or better on only one hole, below the field’s average of 2.6. However, she managed to avoid bogeys on par-3s, unlike most participants.

The golfer matched the field’s performance on par-4 bogeys. At the Country Club of Seowan Hills, Korda found the sweet spot with her driver, avoiding any bogeys in the par-5s.
