In the current scenario, if any golfer is being compared to the G.O.A.T., Tiger Woods, it’s Scottie Scheffler. The 28-year-old professional has won 13 PGA Tour events, but most of them came in one year. In 2024, Scheffler was on a winning spree with 7 titles, including the Olympic gold. However, despite having the ideal year, the golfer has struggled since the beginning of the 2025 season.
Earlier with his debut, unfortunate news of his injury surfaced, which led to him withdrawing from The Sentry. Later, his performance at the event caused speculation about his form. Even though he has showcased a mix of performance with top 5, top 10, and even top 20 finishes, the consistency of the golfer has seemed to be missing.
Well, for most of the world it is, but not for the partner brand, Nike. Recently, PGA Tour shared a video post on X with Scheffler getting a present ahead of his participation at the fourth signature event. Where the world is discussing the struggle, Nike has stepped up to celebrate the achievement of the golfer. It’s worth noting, in 2024, the golfer went on a winning spree after his win at the Arnold Palmer Invitational.

Not just the message, which uplifted the mood of the golfer, but has motivated him to have the same present next year as well. But, with his current performance at the event, will it be possible?
Scottie Scheffler’s current performance
In the video, the World No. 1 was heard saying, “Hopefully, I’ll be getting a fresh pair of these again in my locker next year.” If we look at the past year, the winning streak begins after the API, but with his ups and downs in performance this year, the result could be different. Until now, in 2025, the golfer has achieved his best round with a 66 score. However, the worst is still way below the expectation with 76.
