Charley Hull is a dominant name in the world of female golf circuits, with six professional wins under her name. Even though she was suffering from her neck injury, she did okay in the Solheim Cup. And now, after thrashing the US team with her squad, Hull is in Texas to defend her title in the 2023 Ascendant LPGA, benefiting the Volunteers of America.

However, she is currently out of the running and outside the top ten, making it difficult for her to defend her Kathy Whitworth Trophy. Amid her goal of getting the trophy being crushed, other things also frustrated the English star.

Not so happy with the weather

The LPGA is currently having its 27th event at the Old American Golf Club in The Colony, Texas, in Dallas, from October 5 through October 8. The event is also honoring LPGA legend Kathy Whitworth, who passed away last year. She used to give winners her namesake trophy for the last eight years.

Last year, it was Hull who received the trophy. She outlasted Xiyu Lin by one stroke and won a staggering $255,000. However, it appears that she is having difficulty keeping up with the game this year, as opposed to previous years.

She is now in position 34 as of this writing. It is now difficult for her to go up the ranks with only one day left in the contest. And seeing her trophy getting her father away, she must be in a gloomy state. But the US weather is also not in favor of Hull. She posted a picture on her Instagram story and wrote, “Why so cold Dallas?”

This year, she was also diagnosed with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, commonly known as ADHD. And during this event, she gave updates about the same.

During the press conference before the event, the two-time LPGA Tour champ revealed how the diagnosis affected her behavior. She becomes more restless and impatient when it comes to random things. She either has to do something all the time or she may sleep the entire day without waking up.

She also discussed how ADHD has positive effects on her performance. The 27-year-old golfer stated, It’s weird, like little things in my golf swing; if my coach gives me a drill to do, I can get it straightaway… I get things pretty quickly.”
