With Rahm back on the DP World Tour, is he the most inspiring golfer of our time?

Jon Rahm’s situation was tough, to say the least. Initially, there were rumors he wasn’t successful with his transition to LIV Golf despite receiving $500 million as per reports. Additionally, the golfer’s 2025 Ryder Cup participation was in jeopardy, and his wife’s pregnancy further heightened the tension. However, after all these events, fans can now breathe, a sigh of relief as a positive update has emerged.

Recently NUCLR GOLF shared a clip on X announcing “Jon Rahm arrived at the Spanish Open with it being revealed that his wife Kelley gave birth to the couple’s 3rd child just prior to his departure.” Initially, the Spaniard had made it clear that no matter what, he would prioritize his wife and leave the greens for a while if he had to.

Talking about it, he also said “It could be a case where I go home, deliver the baby, and then fly Tuesday or Wednesday to Madrid,” and it looks like this is exactly what happened. The golfer is blessed with his third child he can now focus on the DP World Tour events, and if he manages to play in four of them, he can even qualify for the 2025 Ryder Cup as Guy Kinnings had said: “To be eligible for the Ryder Cup, a player must play in a minimum of four DP World Tour events.”

Fans react to Jon Rahm’s new family member

What’s your perspective on:

With Rahm back on the DP World Tour, is he the most inspiring golfer of our time?

Have an interesting take?

This fan outright called him a “Legend,” possibly highlighting that the golfer focused on his family first rather than the event despite having three appearances at the Ryder Cup. However, now that his concerns are over, the golfer can now focus more. Meanwhile, this fan was upbeat about the golfer’s child and simply said “Congratulations on your 3rd baby Rahmbo!! ….have 10 of those little Spanish dudes !!!! Love you,” and later jokingly added that he should have more kids.

This fan talked about the golfer’s Ryder Cup situation saying “Ryder Cup Europe have to sort out getting this guy on the team next year. Otherwise its is gonna be next to impossible.” Interestingly it has already happened. Rahm had appealed for his sanctions on the DP World Tour and they have accepted his appeal. As per the latest reports,he is now eligible to compete in the Spanish Open and any other events needed to maintain membership of the tour and be eligible for Ryder Cup selection in 2025,” and is currently playing at the Spanish Open.

Another fan had a similar thought as they said “I thought they weren’t letting him play in this,” which is true as Guy Kinnings had already made it clear that “If you don’t get a release, there are sanctions, so a player must accept those sanctions.” However, now that his appeal against the sanctions was accepted, he plays at the Spanish Open. Witnessing all this one happy fan added, “Wonderful news.”
