PGA Tour winner Will Zalatoris is back! He remained sidelined for most of 2024 after undergoing back surgery last year. He started well, though, having made an impact with two top-five finishes at the Genesis Invitational and the Arnold Palmer Invitational. However, his form has struggled since then. Zalatoris has been out of the top 10 since April, and he had to withdraw from the Byron Nelson due to a recurring back injury. It wasn’t a standout year overall.
He played 22 PGA Tour events in 2024, making 15 cuts and finishing in the top 10 three times. His best result came in a tie for second at the Genesis Invitational. Zalatoris ended the year ranked 38th in the FedEx Cup standings. For him, 2025 is a year of comeback, and it is needless to say that he has begun it with a bang (tied at T2 after day 1 of The Sentry worth $20 million). But the question is, what does bulked-up Zalatoris have in his bag this season?

The 28-year-old PGA Tour pro opts for the Titleist TSR3 driver (9°) with the Fujikura Ventus Blue 8X shaft. He has a field average of 302.5 yards in driving distance and ranks in the top 100 on the list. This is because of the Aerospace Titanium face, which is so incredibly strong and elastic that the driver uses it, giving it exceptional launch conditions. These are available in different ranges between $379.99 and $768.38.
He also has two 3-woods of the same brand with different loft angles. Zalatoris uses the Titleist TSR3 (16.5° and 15.75°) with the Fujikura Ventus Blue 8 X shaft. They are the perfect fit since these come with the ultimate adjustability feature, giving amazing versatility and precise flight control. These are priced between $350 and $400. A Titleist guy, through and through.
For the irons, Will Zalatoris uses the T200 utility iron in the 3-iron slot for his long iron, which gives maximum forgiveness along with a great launch angle. These are priced between $150 and $200 per iron. And for the 4-iron to the 9-iron, Zalatoris has the Titleist T100 irons in his bag. These have increased MOI for better gameplay. These are priced between $180 and $220. He uses both of them with the True Temper Dynamic Gold Tour Issue X100 shaft.

Typically priced between $170 and $200, these are the perfect wedges if the player is looking for a lower flight and a higher spin.

Will Zalatoris does not have a great putting game. His field average in putting is -0.181, and his putting average is just 1.803. This might indicate his requirement to bring a change in the putter. Nonetheless, he will be relying on the Scotty Cameron Circle T Phantom X T-11 Prototype putter. He completes his kit with the Titleist ProV1 ball and the Standard Golf Pride Z-Grip. For apparel, gloves, and shoes, he relies on Footjoy.
Do you think this will be the year of his comeback? Stay tuned to find out!
