Max Greyserman’s debut season on the PGA Tour was one to remember, but what’s even more remarkable is the journey he took to get there. Just two years ago, Greyserman’s career was almost derailed by a wrist injury that required surgery. In an appearance on GOLF’s Subpar podcast, Greyserman revealed that he was so unsure about his future in golf that he even explored other career paths, including real estate and finance. “I was thinking, well, maybe I could go hang out with my friends in New York City and enjoy life in a different way,” he shared.

But Greyserman’s story wasn’t finished yet. After taking time to reflect on his options, he realized that he wasn’t done with golf. With renewed determination, he got back to work, and his hard work paid off. He finished 9th on the Korn Ferry Tour the following year and has been on a roll ever since. Greyserman credits his wrist surgery with giving him a new perspective on his career and life. “It showed me what life would have been like had I not played golf, and I think I was OK with that,” he said. “That gave me perspective to go chase Plan A, which was pro golf.” Now, let’s see if that strength will help the golfer win the Sentry 2025.
