

The second signature event of the PGA Tour is about to begin, but after the sudden withdrawal of players from the Farmers Insurance Open, it’s causing a major worry for the fans. Especially considering Lidvig Aberg and his current health condition, will he be able to compete at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am? The Swede’s health has been a concern for the fans. Even though more than 15 players withdrew from the Farmers Insurance Open, the 25-year-old had still went on to participate in the event.
Battling with illness, Ludvig Aberg was seen struggling at the event. The Swede who finished with T5 at the Sentry saw a drop to T42 because of the stomach flu. He started off the tournament with the lead. However, in the later rounds, the weather and his health affected the play.
The world no. 6 shot 63 in the first round with eight birdies and one eagle, which later on were dropped to 75, 74, and 79 in the last three rounds. Now, with him struggling with the illness, will he be playing the second signature event of the year, i.e., the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am?

The $20 million prize pot event of the 2025 calendar will tee off on January 29th, featuring the top 50 FedExCup standing players and the top 30 from OWGR. Aberg passes all that and is fortunately confirmed for participation in the event.
For the fans, it was a worry seeing him at the last event struggling with illness. However, now with some days off, he might have recovered. However, with many top names starting off their season with the AT&T Pebble Beach, it will be a tough competition for him to redeem after the T42 finish at the Farmers Insurance Open.

Which players will start off their season with AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am?
There have been a few names who have not participated in the PGA Tour because of personal or health reasons. However, for the fans, it is great news that 4 top names will be joining the course at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. The list has the world no. 1 Scottie Scheffler, who has been away from the course due to hand surgery after the Christmas celebration. The American professional has confirmed his participation.
Along with him, Rory McIlroy, Tommy Fleetwood, and Jordan Spieth will also start off their first PGA Tour event of the 2025 schedule. The two DP World Tour participants have already teed off at the Hero Dubai Desert Classic. With Fleetwood, who secured a T21 finish, and McIlroy with a T4 finish. The two will be joining the limited-field event of the PGA Tour. The 35-year-old Irish professional has earlier shared about his limited participation for the 2025 season. So, with confirmation for the signature event, fans would be happy to watch him play.

At last, Spieth has been away from the course due to injury since his last event in 2024 at the St. Jude Championship. Despite his low ranking, because of sponsor exemption, he will be starting his 2025 schedule with the top names.
