The interviewer, questioned, “How is the knee, and is it an issue that you’ve had before or kind of a new thing?” Aberg replied, Knee’s good. It was more of a safety concern last week that I didn’t play. I’m consulting with my doctors and I trust them with everything that I have, so it’s not bothering me at all this week, and I look forward to playing.”

The pro emphasized that withdrawing from Wells Fargo was a precautionary measure, as he wanted to ensure he would be in top condition to compete at Valhalla Golf Club without any complications. Following up, the interviewer inquired, “Are you doing anything preventative during the rounds? Are you wearing a brace or anything like that?” the pro responded, “I’m wearing a brace just for safety reasons, but it’s nothing that’s bothering me. I’m focusing on the golf.”

According to Aberg’s remarks during the conference, it’s clear that his knee isn’t experiencing any significant problems, and the 24-year-old is being cautious as a preventive measure. Given this perspective, how does the PGA Championship look for the 24-year-old as he aims to clinch his inaugural major title?

The Swedish pro received considerable attention during his debut at the Masters, with 73-69-70-69 for a total of 281 strokes over 72 holes. What was even more surprising was that despite playing alongside veterans such as Brooks Koepka and Phil Mickelson, the 24-year-old remained composed and didn’t allow pressure to get the better of him, finishing in the T2 position.

The PGA Championship is shaping up to be another intense contest, especially with formidable players like Scottie Scheffler and Tiger Woods in contention. However, after Aberg’s standout showing at the Masters, anticipation runs high for this week. Do you believe Ludvig Aberg has what it takes to emerge victorious?
