And truly, Mrs. Johnson has been a pillar of support for the LIV golfer, standing by his side through every high and low, both on and off the course.

However, at the Royal Troon, where the 24-time PGA Tour winner made an impressive comeback in the second round of The Open with a score of 2-under 69 after a disappointing opening round of 3-over, she was not present to witness the magic on the Scottish greens. His second-round performance helped him jump 55 spots and advance to moving day. So, the question remains: Why isn’t she present at the 152nd edition of golf’s oldest major?

It’s summertime, and Mrs. Johnson has chosen to spend her summer traveling around Europe. Most recently, she has enjoyed the Spanish sun in San Roque and some French summer in St. Tropez. Gretzky even shared a story on Instagram of her vacation with her two friends. Before she reunites with her husband, who is currently battling for the Claret Jug in the windy weather of Scotland.

Her absence was noted at Royal Troon, and DJ was asked why she wasn’t accompanying him for the last major of the season and whether the weather was the reason for her absence from the Scottish greens. He responded, “I don’t blame her.” Additionally, he confirmed where she has been enjoying her time during his Open Championship play: “She and a couple of friends are in Saint-Tropez. I’ll meet her on Sunday.”

DJ is not without his family at Troon, as his brother is with him every step of the way as his caddie. Although Gretzky may not be at the last major of the season, she made sure to support him at the first major of the year at Augusta, where she certainly turned a lot of heads.

In the 2024 par-3 competition, preceding the Masters tournament, Paulina Gretzky came to support her husband. She could be spotted in the crowd through her vibrant red dress. Even though, she supported her husband from the crowd this year, last year the story was a bit different.

In the 2023 edition of the par 3 competition, Gretzky caddied for her husband and her presence along with her husband at every step of the course proved to be fruitful as the then-38-year-old emerged victorious. The couple celebrated the victory with a kiss and following the win, the pro golfer’s wife expressed her love for him on Instagram: “Honey, i’m forever & always your biggest fan. so proud of you @djohnsonpga.”

Although Paulina Gretzky’s presence was not physical with Dustin Johnson during the Open Championship, he has always known she is her greatest supporter.
