Tiger Woods and John Daly are the two most popular professional golfers in America. While Woods became famous for his incredible game and winning title after title, the latter was known for being the longest hitter on the PGA Tour for a long time. The two multi-major champions had incredible careers in their respective prime years. However, as time passed, their performance might have faltered, as they hadn’t been able to win any titles, especially the majors.

Daly and Woods have loyal fans in the golf world. Therefore, ‘Golf.com’ found a way to keep things interesting by conducting a unique poll on Twitter in 2015. A survey to know who has the potential to win the next major.
Tiger Woods or John Daly?
“Tiger Woods or John Daly? Take your pick,” Golf.com captioned their post back in 2015. They also added a picture that showed the players’ stats, which could help the fans and others to give a clear answer.
The picture revealed Woods won his last major in 2008 at the U.S. Open, whereas Daly won at the 1995 Open Championship. Furthermore, it mentioned that the last time Woods was in contention to win a major was at the 2013 Open Championship. On the other hand, Long John had his last shot in 1995 when he actually won his last major.
According to Golf.com, Woods had his last PGA Tour victory at the 2013 WGC-Bridgestone at the time of the poll. Meanwhile, Daly won his at the 2004 Buick Invitational. The stats also showed that the career grand slam champion was ranked 62 then, whereas his opponent was 839.
Fans react to the comparison
The stats of the players were worlds apart. Therefore, the fans found it funny that the two were the opponents in the poll. However, they stayed true to their favorite golfers and answered the question in the comments section. While some tried to make it funnier, some bluntly replied with their opinions.
