Paige Spiranac talked about including women in team events
Paige Spiranac has always been vocal about the gender disparity that prevails in the sports world regarding opportunities and rewards. In the recent episode of her podcast, she talked about how interesting it would be if women players were allowed to participate in team events alongside their male counterparts.
Spiranac said that people on social media were introducing the idea of having women participation in the Presidents Cup. And the ex-golfer thought that it would be “fantastic”.
“I would love a mixed team event,” she said. “I think that would be absolutely electric to watch. And I think more people would enjoy it.”

Spiranac has talked about this idea earlier too and thinks it is high time the officials act on it. With everything going on in the golf world, this could be a way to promote a league to a whole different level! Spiranac said that fans wanted to experience certain things and it was the tour’s duty to make sure they were giving the fans what they want. “Why aren’t these organizations listening and hearing what we have to say and making those changes,” Spiranac stated. However, she said that LIV Golf could be thinking of working on this idea. She gave an example of the Aramco events where mixed team events have been taking place for a long time. “You can get it done,” she said.
