Players wear black ribbons at LIV Golf’s Thailand event to pay respect to the lost innocent souls
LIV Golf players are currently playing in a tournament in Bangkok, Thailand. A big thing to notice during the event on Friday at Stonehill Golf Course was the black ribbons worn by each player. And the reason behind this act was the recent unfortunate incident that took place in Thailand on Thursday.
According to sources, nearly 36 people were shot dead by a former police officer at a school center 300 miles away from Bangkok. Among the dead were around 24 innocent children. The gunman was identified as 34-year-old, Panya Khamrab, who ended up killing his wife and children and then himself after the massacre.

LIV Golf made adjustments to the teams
The Saudi-funded league had to alter a few rules for this week’s tournament. The first five events were judged based on team scores. These scores were accumulated by taking two low players from each of the first rounds and then taking three low players from the final round. However, for the Bangkok event, three players will be counted for all three rounds.
Earlier, fans were taking LIV Golf as a joke. But with each passing tournament, the new league is becoming a bigger competitor for the former PGA Tour. And even fans have started showing signs of acceptance towards the league they were once calling an exhibition tour. It is only a matter of time before LIV Golf will grow into the biggest league in the world.
