Justin Thomas is currently enjoying his breakaway from the sport. The 2-time PGA Championship winner was last seen at the seventh edition of ‘The Match’, where he emerged victorious. With the festive season around the country, Thomas made it merrier with an appearance at the popular podcaster Caleb Pressley’s show, Sundae Conversation. He also revealed some discreet information, especially on the LIV Golf Series.

The 29-year-old PGA golfer made it on the show in this weekend’s show, hosted by Caleb Pressley at the sports and pop culture blog Barstool Sports. The 3-minute and 55 seconds exchange proved to be too funny, with fans reacting hilariously to the episode.

But it also turned out to be revealing of Thomas’ decisions on the rebel league, the LIV Golf Series. The Saudi-backed series, funded by the sovereign wealth of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, has posed a challenge to the existing golf bodies.

The cash-rich league has lured top golfers to play for the newly-launched series with eye-watering contracts. Being one of the most recognized faces in golf, Thomas was also expected to be handed an offer. Though it was never known whether he received an offer, he seemed to confirm the same in the conversation with Pressley.

While speaking about the rebel league, the all-formal-suited Pressley asked whether Thomas was upset about not joining the lucrative league. “Were you upset that you never were offered any type of money to go to LIV?” he asked, assuming that his guest for the evening was never offered a contract.

In response, Thomas gave a cheeky reply. “Who said that I wasn’t,” he said.

Thomas reveals what he said to LIV after the contract offer

Surprisingly, Pressley couldn’t fathom that LIV Golf offered Thomas a contract. “I just couldn’t imagine they wanted to have you.” When JT asked for the reason, the host pointed to the former’s semblance of lack of change, to which Thomas agreed.

“Yeah I’m pretty much ‘stay in my own lane’ and do my own thing,” the golfer said before Pressley pushed on for a straightforward answer. After much deliberation, Thomas finally replied, “Well, they did.”
