Yealimi Noh was born in San Francisco, California on July 26, 2001. This makes her American by birth. Her parents, Brian and Kim Noh, are Korean by birth, making her ethnicity Korean. They own a Japanese restaurant, Happy Roll, in High School Concord. Yealimi belongs to the Asian-American ethnicity. She went to the Carondelet for quite some time.
Later, the LPGA Tour Pro left school and pursued an online secondary education program. She did so to take up her professional career and completely focus on golf. It fascinated her most of the time. She was first introduced to golf by her father when she was around seven or eight years old. He would play and take her to the course along with him.
“I think it’s rare to have started golf with a parent at the same time, but it’s been a nice experience getting to improve, learn and have fun with each other,” she said in an interview.

She knew there was no going back for her. Before she turned pro, Yealimi Noh had to choose between collegiate or professional golf. Although it was a challenging decision for her to make, she ultimately made the right decision.
Yealimi Noh had a rather illustrious amateur career. Fans started to recognize her after she bagged her first win at the 2018 Girl’s Junior PGA Championship and grabbed a win at the US Girl’s Junior Championship. In 2021, she also bagged her LPGA Tour card, earning a full-time spot on the Tour by finishing third in the LPGA Q-series. By far she has earned $2.1 million by her fourth season. However, Noh has yet to grab a win. But looks like that might not be a very far-fetched dream for her. With the conclusion of the first round of the TOTO Japan Classic on Thursday, she firmly holds the second position, tied with Ariya Jutanugarn and just two strokes behind Japan’s Hana Wakimoto. She might finally grab her first LPGA tour title with her exceptional moment.
The West Coast golf lab Malbon Golf featured her as the first-ever official ambassador last year. The move facilitated a push for women’s golf into the market. According to Noh, her potential partnership with the brand has to reach new female golfers and widen the power of fashion to change the game. “I feel very honored and grateful that they chose me to represent their style and motto. Malbon has a very unique vibe and I hope to portray it well on and off the golf course,” she stated.
