Meanwhile, one person with him through thick and thin of his professional career has been his wife, Maya Lowe. She has been a strong supporter since his early days in golf. But who is Xander’s wife, Maya Lowe?
Who is Maya Lowe?
Maya Lowe is a science and public health graduate from the University of California, San Diego. She is a “Center Manager Flex” for Planned Parenthood of the Pacific Southwest. Moreover, she has been working with this company since 2015 and has held this position since December 2017.
She has also done a bit of volunteer work in her life. She was a Campus Ambassador for the Peace Corps. Lowe also volunteered as an operations intern for Project Concern International – a non-profit organization in San Diego.
This clearly shows her dedication toward society welfare. She has been doing plenty of work and has also completed her Master’s degree in healthcare administration. Interestingly, Maya is fluent in Japanese.
How did Xander Schauffele and Maya Lowe meet?
Xander Schauffele and Maya Lowe have been together since 2014. The couple met each other for the first time at university. However, both went to different colleges. Xander went to San Diego State University while Maya attended University of California, San Diego.
After being with each other for over six years, the couple got married in 2021. They got married in Las Vegas immediately after the 2021 U.S. Open. However, Schauffele had to travel to Scotland for the Scottish Open just before the Open Championship.
Playing at the Scottish Open as the first event after getting married, he jokingly said, “No offense to anyone here, but I would not choose a place that rains so much to take my honeymoon.” Meanwhile, talking about his marriage, “It’s been a long time coming… We’ve been together for quite some time and decided to make it public. We’re very happy,” said Xander.

Furthermore, his marriage brought him great success as he finished T10 at the Scottish Open. Additionally, the five-time PGA Tour winner won the gold medal for Team USA at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics. He was also a part of Team USA that defeated the European side in the 2021 Ryder Cup.
Hence, the lady Lowe has brought in the luck, and Schauffele has been in good form since then. However, his only wish now would be to break the major jinx and get his hands on the major championship trophy soon.
