You might remember Qass Singh, Vijay Singh’s son, from the 2022 PNC Championship. That’s when the father-son duo finally took home the trophy, beating Tiger Woods and his son, Charlie. After 16 tries and nine top-5 finishes over the years, it wasn’t just a win—it was a testament to their patience and grit.

Who is Qass Singh?

Qass was born in 1990, and obviously, golf was in his blood. By the age of 13, he was already teeing off with his dad at the PNC. Maybe, most kids would’ve been nervous, but not Qass. Over the years, Singhs made PNC a tradition. 

He played on the Minor League Golf Tour in 2013, but golf wasn’t exactly his professional calling. He now works in the insurance field—taking a more traditional route. Qass keeps a pretty low profile, but if you check out his Instagram, you’ll get a sense of his personality. In his bio, he has written There is nothing so strong as gentleness, and nothing so gentle as true strength.Other than sports, Qass likes photography.

Singh shared that Qass has been into martial arts since he was seven; from Taekwondo to mixed martial arts. He’s a really good kid, Singh said, laughing, I think he could pick me up now. Martial arts must have helped Qass develop discipline and a calm mindset. Skills a golfer truly needs. But what is his relationship with his dad like?

Qass’ bond with Vijay Singh

The bond between Singh and Qass goes way beyond just golf. Singh is always talking about how proud he is of his son. Not just as a golfer, but as a person. I’m really blessed to have him. I’m sad that he doesn’t play golf much. He has a lot of potential to be a really good player. He can do whatever he wants in life,Singh said in an interview showing how supportive he is of Qass.
