Indeed, the game of golf is never complete without mentioning the name of the greatest golfer of all time, Tiger Woods. He reached the peak of his career due to his otherworldly golf skills. He became the talk of the town after an amazing amateur career, after which he turned pro in 1996. Since then, he has grown considerably to become a legend in the sport, boasting 82 PGA Tour wins, including 15 majors under his belt. While his life details and achievements are popular in the golf community, not many know that he has a niece who is also a golfer.

The GOAT has been absent from the game for a while due to his injury in 2021. Coincidentally, his relative has also followed in fashion, as she disappeared from the game the same year. Well, it makes one curious to find out who the niece is and what she is doing currently. Let us take a look at the same.

As the PGA Tour pro slowly makes his recovery following the accident, our attention turns to Cheyenne Woods, a half-niece to the legend. She is also a golfer who plays on the LET and LPGA Tours, but unlike her uncle, the woman professional has not had any significant breakthroughs in the sport. Nevertheless, the moniker ‘Woods’ in the sport itself means a lot!

The 82X PGA Tour winner’s father, Earl Woods, had married another woman before being married to his mother, Kultida Woods. From his first wife, the legend’s dad had three children, namely Earl Woods Jr., Kevin Dale Woods, and Royce Renee Woods, who were considered the 15X major winner’s step-siblings. And the person in question, the 47-year-old’s half-niece, was born to Earl Woods Jr. and his wife, Susan Woods, on July 25, 1990.

Cheyenne Woods’ introduction to the golfing world

Hailing from Phoenix, Arizona, the young pro-golf member of the Hall of Famer’s family was introduced to the sport at 5 years old by her grandfather, the legend’s own father. This proved to be a wonderful decision by Senior Woods, as she went ahead to play high school golf for the Xavier College Preparatory Golf team, following which she won the Arizona 5A State Championships consecutively for two years in 2006 and 2007.

After a successful junior level, the GOAT’s half-niece participated at the collegiate level, where she competed for Wake Forest University. The Northern Carolina University awarded her a sponsors’ exemption in a bid to let the young golfer play at her first LPGA tournament in 2009.

But, unfortunately, her appearance at the Wegmans LPGA was cut short after failing to make the weekend rounds. Woods registered 75-74 over the first two days, respectively. Nevertheless, this did not discourage the amateur golfer, as she followed it with a win at the 2010 Bryan Nationals, two NCAA tournament wins, and a victory at the Atlantic Coast Conference Championship in 2011. In the subsequent year, Woods marked another major step in her career by turning pro.

She manifested her first professional win on the SunCoast Ladies Series Tour in 2012. Following this, the female golfer emerged victorious at the 2014 Volvik RACV Ladies Masters. She triumphed with a score of four under 69 on the final day against Minjee Lee. In 2021, the legend’s niece claimed her third pro win at the second event of the Cactus Tour in Arizona. Well, enough about her professional life; it’s time we take a look at her personal one, isn’t it?
