Ludvig Aberg is one of the most exciting prospects in golf. The young Swede has already claimed the 2023 Ryder’s Cup and his first PGA Tour victory at his debut at the RSM Classic in December 2023. The 24-year-old was at the top of the World Amateur Golf Ranking when he earned his PGA Tour card for the remainder of 2023 and 2024. As he unlocked his achievements and expressed his efforts on the greens, who are the brands that got captivated by the young golfer’s abilities?

Ludvig Aberg’s endorsements span a diverse range of product types, including accessories and clothing. June 22, 2023, was the day the 24-year-old’s efforts were first noticed as he signed a multi-year deal with Adidas. However, the details of the deal are not yet public. But the linkup saw him wearing Adidas headwear, apparel, footwear, and accessories while playing, including a bag.

On his signing, the President of Adidas Golf, Jeff Lienhart, said, “He’s earned it all through amazing play and desire to win and we look forward to supporting him in the 3-Stripes as he begins his journey as a professional,” admiring the abilities the world’s top amateur had.

Later, the golfer explained how delighted he was with the move, saying, “This past year has been an incredible journey and I couldn’t be more excited to wear the 3-Stripes as I start this next chapter of my career. The team at Adidas is always committed to making the best for golfers and I’m proud to officially join the team.” The next week after his deal, he made his debut on the PGA Tour, finishing seven-under to tie for 25th in the RBC Canadian Open.

As he advanced through the season after the 2023 RBC Canadian Open, Aberg showcased impressive consistency. Out of 10 matches he played, excluding the RBC Open, he made the cut in 9, secured 7 top-25 finishes, achieved 4 top-10 finishes, and claimed a victory along with a runner-up position. This exceptional performance paved the way for an exciting new deal.

Moving on to his next major deal

In December 2023, after his first PGA Tour win in the RSM Classic, the hottest golfer no longer remained an equipment-free agent. The Swedish superstar signed his first gear deal, putting pen to paper on a multi-year agreement with Titleist. Aberg was spotted with a new set of Titleist clubs, as well as a Titleist golf bag, at the Grant Thornton Invitational. The bag replaced an Adidas model he had been using since turning pro.

When speaking to PGATour.com at the venue, “Until this past week actually I haven’t had a club deal, I’ve been playing with whatever I like,” said Aberg, whose only equipment deal when he turned pro was a ball deal with Titleist. “We signed a club deal with Titleist this past week. I’ve used the 2018-19 T100s up until now, but I like the way that they sit, I really like these (2023 T100) and they can improve my game.”

The golf star also explained that he switched clubs because the new set is very similar to his previous 2019 set. He does not like making too many changes, especially with his clubs, and prefers to figure things out on his own. He found the transition smooth and felt it was the perfect time to get used to the new clubs.

Holding on to Odyssey’s putters since his college days

Back in 2015, Aberg began using the Odyssey Works Versa #1 putter, which features a gray-black-gray color scheme. He continued to use this putter throughout his time at Texas Tech University, where he ascended to No. 1 in the World Amateur Golf Rankings. However, just before clinching the 2023 Omega European Masters in September, Aberg decided to switch to a newer, yet similar-looking Odyssey White Hot Versa One putter.

Aberg believes the upgrade has significantly improved his game, particularly with lag putting. “It’s essentially the same putter; it has the same feel and look, but being newer helps with off-center hits,” he explained. “In fact, my lag putting has improved since making the switch.”

The rising professional has stepped up his game. As the 2024 season continues to embark on rising talents, the 2023 RSM Classic winner printed his image as a serious title contender. Out of the 12 tournaments he has played as of June 2024, he made the cut in 11, secured 9 top-25 finishes, and achieved 6 top-10 placements. Notably, he clinched two runner-up positions, including a memorable performance at the Masters, where he finished just four shots behind Scottie Scheffler, tying for second place.
