Hard work backed up with support is indeed the true ingredient to success. That is pretty much the story of the South Korean Professional golfer Si Woo Kim. He has been playing on the PGA Tour since 2012 and has bagged four victories so far. While his wins might not be of greater quantity, but one thing is certain.
He has managed to make it to the headlines with his strategic gameplay, and an exceptional field presence. Although he has always been close to sports, golf came out of the syllabus, but he was backed up by his father’s immense support. But the pillar was not just limited to him. Since he got married, his wife has been on the bleachers in almost all his tournaments, supporting and cheering for him.

Ji Hyun Oh was born on February 13, 1995, in Seoul, South Korea. She is also a South Korean professional golfer, who has competed in Korean LPGA events and the LPGA of Korea Tour since 2014. She first made it to the news during her amateur career days in 2013 by finishing 8th at the Korean Women’s Open, which was what qualified her to be a part of the KLPGA. She has only one victory so far on the Tour, but pretty much like Kim, she is phenomenal with her swing.
Si Woo Kim met the love of his life for the first time amid the golfing greens. According to him, the South Korean golfer met Jo Hyun Oh, back in 2014 at a golf event in South Korea. As they started talking at the course, they instantly became friends because of their deep-rooted love for golf. She even complimented him on his ability and persistence. Well, that was not all, Oh showed her interest in his unique style and wanted to be a part of his golfing journey.
After seven years of knowing each other, they got engaged in 2021. During an event after that, Oh also said, “I will now be Kim’s wife, rather than a professional golfer. When we were dating, we had to spend so much time apart from each other. Now that we’re married, I don’t have to worry about being away from him. This is the happiest moment of my life.” The couple tied the knot on December 18. 2022. On Instagram, she once again posted their wedding pictures and wrote, “18 December 2022 💍 I promised to spend the rest of my life with the person I want to spend the rest my life with. Thank you all for your congratulations. I’ll live happily and well”.

Ji Hyun Oh left golf after getting married. Well, it was not by force, but she wanted to be Si Woo Kim’s full-time wife, instead of being a golfer after marriage. But the couple has been dedicated together through Kim’s matches. Just a month after their wedding, they were in Honolulu together. And well, Kim ended up grabbing his fourth victory on the PGA Tour, at the Sony Open in Hawaii. “She walked with me the whole time, and she gave me so much strength,” Kim said of his wife after his win in Hawaii.

He also revealed that whenever he was stuck in a tense moment, he would see his wife sitting along the ropes, and that was what calmed him down. Well, just being in the audience is not all that she does. She was also there to play golf with Si Woo Kim at the 2023 Masters Par 3 contest. She demonstrated that she has still the skill of swings in. She hit it close to 2 feet.
