He has been the focus of attention for quite some time in the golf world. Theegala started gaining popularity during his college days at Pepperdine University, and much credit for that goes to his outstanding performance as a player. Besides that, in his amateur days, he bagged several accolades to flaunt, like the 2020 Ben Hogan Award, the Jack Nicklaus Award, and the Haskins Award. He secured all three laurels in his award cabinet in the same year, becoming the fifth-ever athlete to achieve so. 

Theegala made his professional debut in 2020. Since then, he has played on the Korn Ferry Tour and the PGA Tour. In terms of his performances on the PGA Tour schedule for the 2022-2023 season, the 25-year-old has showcased brilliant gameplay on the course. He has had eight top-ten finishes, and this list includes a major, the Masters which took place at Augusta National Golf Club.

No, it is not his caddie, Carl Smith, but rather his significant other, who has accompanied the golfer through all his personal and professional highs and lows. The name of the woman is Juju R. Chan. Julianna (Juju) and Sahith both went to Pepperdine University together, and they began dating there. One thing that was common between them was that they were both into sports. While Sahith had success in golf, his girlfriend’s swim team broke the Pepperdine swim and dive record in the 200-meter. This feat was achieved at the Pacific Coast Swim and Dive Conference Championships in 2019.

Dating a sportsperson has indeed been a blessing for Theegala. Both made their love life public in January 2023. The lovebirds even took a vacation to Kapalua, Hawaii, to celebrate the new year. The golfer took to Instagram to post pictures of the same. 

Juju finished her graduation in Sports Administration from the Waves in 2019. At Pepperdine University, she also worked there besides studying. She first executed her duty as a lifeguard, then as a communications intern for athletics. Later, she was promoted to pool manager, where she managed forty student employees and lifeguards.

There is more. In her senior year, she was an assistant swim coach and mastered NCAA rules and regulations to ensure awareness and compliance on the team. She also served at LoanGlide as a customer success manager and then shifted to Trace, where she currently works in the capacity of an Enterprise Customer Success Manager. The Asian swimmer also takes an avid interest in making trips to beaches and music festivals. She mostly prefers Hong Kong and China for leisurely vacation visits.
