A close contender for the $7.3 million prize purse at the Wyndham Championship, Russell Henley, is currently in the 3rd position as Round 3 came to an end on Saturday. Eyeing his fourth PGA Tour win, he will look to capitalize on his amazing performance as he eyes the title and a comfortable entry into the FedEx Cup qualifiers. His early victories on the PGA Tour came in the 2013 Sony Open, 2014 Honda Classic, 2017 Shell Houston Open, and the 2022 World Wide Technology Championship.

Henley married Teil Duncan in 2015 after a fateful encounter. They met each other at Teil’s sister’s wedding after which they started dating. The adorable couple got engaged at Pitt Street Bridge in Mount Pleasant after which they tied the knot on the 30th of October.

The couple has a total of three children. In 2017, they welcomed their eldest son, Robert Russell followed by his sister Ruth Teil later on. The couple recently welcomed their new baby, Jane, making them a happy family of five. When Robert was born, he was diagnosed with brain swelling and was admitted to the NICU unit in Charleston, S.C. Henley was playing the 2017 Masters Tournament at Augusta National at that time.

The golf pro considered withdrawing from the tournament if his son’s condition worsened. But as fortune has it, he was informed by his wife and family that his firstborn’s health became much better. The golfer dad rushed home to his dear family after finishing the tournament tied at 15th with a score of 283 (-5). The happy family of five is currently residing in South Carolina.

The artistic side of Mrs. Henley

Born in 1988 in Columbus, Georgia, Teil graduated from Auburn University in Alabama with a bachelor’s degree in Art. She is currently working as a painter based out of Georgia and has her own website. She is also an author as she released a book titled The Color Teil: Life, Work and Inspiration. Moreover, the successful writer and artist is estimated to have a net worth of $2 million.

The pro golfer’s wife has also mentioned her religious inclination on her website as she wrote, “I am a follower of Jesus, and am so thankful to Him for providing a job that I love.” Moreover, continuing on her personal beliefs from her artistic side, she mentions how her goal is to infuse elements such as light, movement, color, and pattern to form abstract compositions. “I strive to portray a balance of realism combined with loose abstraction, causing one to compliment the other.” continues the painter as she talks about her works.

The pro golfer’s wife has had an immense role in his success in the sport. Although they do not tend to disclose much about their personal life, their love for each other is much evident as can be seen through the happy life the family of five is leading. Currently, in the 22nd position in the FedEx Cup standings, he will hope to make his family proud with an amazing performance.
