Minjee Lee has enjoyed a highly successful professional career since turning pro in 2014. After qualifying for the LPGA Tour through the 2014 Q-Series, she secured her first victory in 2016 at the Kingsmill Championship. Lee’s breakthrough came in 2021 when she won the U.S. Women’s Open at The Olympic Club, marking her first major championship. She followed up with another major win in 2022 at the Amundi Evian Championship, establishing herself as one of the top players in women’s golf.
Known for her strong all-around game, Lee excels in driving accuracy, and greens in regulation, and has continually improved her putting. As of 2024, Lee remains a dominant force on the LPGA Tour, consistently ranking in the top 10 of the Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings, currently holding the No. 4 spot. She has continued to be a top contender in major events, posting multiple top-5 finishes in the early part of the 2024 season. Now the question is, who is her biggest supporter grabbing her clubs and bags on the greens as she plays?
Minjee Lee currently is being followed by the famous Australian looper Brad Beecher. “They asked me to come out and caddie for a couple of years, and go back to playing golf myself, but I never did,” said Beecher. He went on to add how he enjoyed the adrenaline rush while caddying for golfers. For him, it is the “mix of competition, being in the hunt; ultimately being in contention to help my player succeed.”
