Megan Khang has made many big decisions in her career, which has helped her in making a big impact on the LPGA Tour. The professional golfer was initially accompanied by her father, Lee Khang. Lee used to carry her bags during her distinguished amateur career and initial days on the tour. But she decided to employ someone else to give her father a much-needed break from being her looper.
The golfer employed Kurt Moskaly, who assisted her till 2021, after which she got together with her current bagman Jack Fulghum. The duo was successful in their teamwork as they shot to the top, finishing third in the 2023 KPMG Women’s PGA Championship. She scored a stunning 6-under 278 taking home a winner’s cut of $423,070.
Fulghum has been a tremendous help to Zhang. He proved to be a source of comfort during the CP Women’s Open at Shaughnessy Golf Course.
While addressing a press conference, the LPGA star had mentioned how the looper reassured her during the third round. He had said, “Hey, you’re putting good strokes on it. They’ll drop soon”. The American professional managed to make a good up and down on the 4th hole and kept the momentum. This helped her make some good putts. She registered a score of 4-under par 68 in the penultimate round, thereby leading the scoreboard.

The looper has earlier caddied for the likes of golfer Lexi Thompson. Although they had a good thing going, he was forced to give up the bags.

The weather at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics proved to be too much for Fulghum, who was then caddying for LPGA Star Thompson. Fulghum failed to finish the first round of the women’s competition due to extreme heat. The bagman relinquished his duties as they reached the 15th hole as the temperature soared to around 38 degrees Celsius.

Thompson, later on in an interview, explained how she did not notice how Jack was feeling until he came up to her and asked “Do I look white to you?”. The golfer replied she wasn’t actually aware of her looper’s condition and asked him to take a rest under the shade. The bagman was then given some drinks to help himself out of dehydration and regain his health. Although Fulghum was forced to give up the bag, Thompson went on with her play. LPGA Director of Player Services Donna Wilkins stepped in to assist her on the course.

Lexi and Jack split up soon after the Olympics, and Megan Khang seems to have benefitted from the separation. She found a reliable caddie in Fulghum who helps her tremendously on the course and comforts her in case of setbacks. The duo will look to continue strong as Khang makes her third Solheim Cup appearance in September 2023.
