Nick Heinen is currently carrying the bag for Matthew Wolff. The 22-year-old has changed a few caddies over the past few years. However, Heinen has been with him for some time now. Wolff has been steadily creating a name for himself on the Tours, which makes the job and choice of his caddie all the more important.
Let’s take a look at more details about Heinen, and how he came to be working with Wolff.

Who is Matthew Wolff’s caddie Nick Heinen?
Wolff is currently working with Heinen, who has been a part of the Korn Ferry Tour. He has played on the tour 10 times during 2018 and 2019. Wolff also drives a good distance, averaging 340.9 yards in 2018, and is known for his swing. In 2019, he averaged 315 yards. The only time Heinen was not cut was the Web.com Tour Qualifying Tournament, where he finished 115.
Even his brother Alec played golf, who played for the Wichita State golf team. Additionally, Heinen made his players caddying debut for Matthew Wolff, who was a rookie himself.
However, Heinen had already played many competitive rounds at the Korn Ferry Tour before carrying the bag for Wolff. “Watching No. 17, when Rickie [Fowler] stuffed it in a playoff in 2015, we were all at Oklahoma State and I remember we were all watching it together,” Heinen said before his debut. “It was pretty cool watching him hit it right then, just throw it in there about five feet and end up winning”.
Who else has caddied for Matthew Wolff before?
Steve Lohmeyer
Lohmeyer and Wolff were working together when the latter bagged his first win. They won the 3M Open in 2019 – which came when Wolff was playing only his third event after turning pro. “I’m still speechless,” Lohmeyer said after the win. “I’m so proud of Matthew, the way he handled himself. It was fantastic. It was very surreal for me”.
Back in 2019, Lohmeyer also added that Wolff saved him from heading back to Scottsdale and getting a real job for himself. However, just as he was about to do so, the young PGA Tour star gave him a call.

J.P. Fitzgerald
Even before Heinen and Lohmeyer, Wolff worked with J.P. Fitzgerald, who had worked with Rory McIlroy before. Interestingly, he and Wolff parted ways days before he won the 3M Open. The new pair made news for working together and parting ways just before his win. They played together from the 2018 Travellers Championship.
A year later, Fitzgerald was working with Victor Perez.

Some people even found Lohmeyer and Wolff’s parting abrupt. However, as of now, Wolff and Heinen seem to be working well with each other.
