On June 1st, 1977, Sybi Kuchar was born in St. Simon Island, Georgia. Previously a Parker, Sybi changed her last name to Kuchar after getting married. Sybi’s parents are James Phillip Parker and Priscilla Ream Parker. The tennis player attended the honored college of the Georgia Institute of Technology.

There the 46-year-old enjoyed her passion for tennis. Sybi was on the Yellow Jacket’s Tennis team and pursued the same with her administration degree. She met her husband, Matt Kuchar, on the same campus of Georgia Tech where Kuchar was playing on the golf team.

The couple started dating after graduating in 2002. A year later, both tied the knot at a private hunting course, Cabin Bluff. The venue is designed by Davis Love III and resides on the border of Florida and Georgia. Kuchar, in an exclusive with PGATOUR.com, expressed that while studying, they were extremely busy with their sports and everything, and they did not have time to date.

However, in 2002, “We started communicating and it quickly lead to dating and quickly lead to marriage. I think it was within a year we were married before we got back together. We were very close in school. I think both of us were pretty occupied with our sport and with school as well. We would go out and hang out, but not a whole lot of dating.”After graduating with an administration degree, Sybi moved to California and taught it to others for a while. In 2010, Kuchar explained that Sybi stopped playing tennis, however, he encouraged her to pursue her passion.

The 9xPGA Tour winner praised his wife, saying, She is a better player when we play matches. She wears me out with baseline rallies. If I could get up to net and close a point out, that’s what I do.” Kuchar and Sybi have gone on to win the consolation title at the USTA National Husband and Wife Doubles Championship in 2009. Coincidentally, Kuchar’s father, Peter Kuchar, was also a tennis player, and that indicates his liking for the sport.

The couple welcomed their first son in 2007, Cameron Cole, and after 2 years, their youngest, Carson Wright, in 2009. The couple have been together for two decades now. Even when Kuchar faced career slumps and low phases his wife was always by his side.
