Jenna was born to Alan and Karen Shaw and spent her childhood in Fredonia which is a village situated in Chautauqua County, New York. She attended Fredonia High School and graduated in 2008. For college, she went to Kent State University and completed her graduation in 2012.

They are now blessed with two sons and one daughter as of March 2024. The first child named Kenton Robert Hughes is 6 years old and was born on October 3, 2017.

Cohen Alan Hughes, the second son, is 3 years old and was born on December 4, 2020. Recently,  in December 2023, they were blessed with a daughter. Hughes usually spends his time off with his children at home and also calls himself the “PGA Tour-level diaper changer” before the Sentry Tournament of Champions 2023 on Golf Channel.

She has accompanied the Canadian pro to several major golf events, including the 2022 Sanderson Farm Championship, wherein the Hughes family came together to “celebrate” the 33-year-old pro’s victory.
