This rising star is making a name for himself in the golf industry at just the age of 25. The golfer was born on February 8, 1999, and lived in Charleston, South Carolina, for most of his life however that is not the place he where currently resides. Since turning pro in 2021, Mac’s career has been on fire. He kicked off his journey on the PGA Tour Canada after scoring a thrilling win at the 2021 Bolingbrook Golf Club Invitational but that was just the beginning. The golfer’s success continued to snowball on the Korn Ferry Tour in 2022 and 2023, with five top-5 finishes and six top-10 finishes.
One of his most notable achievements was finishing runner-up at the 2023 Panama Championship. But Meissner’s impressive record isn’t limited to professional golf. His collegiate golf career at Southern Methodist University was equally amazing and his skills helped him earn the prestigious Byron Nelson Award.
So, how’s Mac doing in the 2024 season? Absolutely crushing it! He’s consistently delivered top-notch performances, with two top-10 finishes and seven top-25 finishes. Some of his best performances include a T5 finish at the Charles Schwab Challenge, a T10 finish at the Valero Texas Open, and a T13 at the Myrtle Beach Classic. Notably, the golfer has also performed quite well at the ISCO Championship and the John Deere Classic, finishing T15 and T20, respectively. To add to that, he is currently ranked 128th in the Official World Golf Ranking (OWGR) and 89th in the 2024 FedExCup standings.

So, it’s pretty safe to say that Meissner’s hard work has paid off big time. The golfer has truly shown the world his true talent ever since he got his PGA Tour card after finishing in the top 30 spots on the 2023 Korn Ferry Tour points list. Mac Meissner’s PGA Tour card achievement in 2023 was a moment of pure joy and you’ll know why soon enough. His family was right there to share it with him and who else did he want to thank if not them? So, when asked who has had his back in his journey of golf the golfer said, “Oh man, so many people”, and so many people there were.
Meissner’s list started with his parents Katie and Kurt as his father had made so many sacrifices to support his golf dreams. “My parents (Katie and Kurt), first, have supported me through this journey; my dad has made so many sacrifices in his own life to watch and support my golf dream,” said the golfer. And how could he forget about his long-time swing coach, Bryan Gathright? Gathright has played a major role in shaping him into the golfer he is today. He said, “Then my swing coach, Bryan Gathright, who has been with me for 14 years now, has been instrumental to the golfer that I am today.”

At that moment, it was clear that Meissner’s success wasn’t just about him. It was about the people who believed in him and loved him unconditionally. However, he wasn’t done yet and we aren’t either. Ever heard of the saying, ‘Save the best for last’? Well, here Meissner did exactly that! He thanked his only supporter whom he gets to call his fiance in the end. “Lastly, my fiancée; she has been my biggest supporter.” Yes, the golfer is engaged well; he was at the time, but now he is married!
The golfer’s Instagram feed is loaded with pictures of him with his wife, Kennedy Meissner. The couple got married on December 3, 2023, which was the same year he earned his PGA Tour card.
