LPGA or the Ladies Professional Golf Association is the biggest golf tour for the Women. The LPGA has had a terrific few years under the reign of Mollie Marcoux Samaan, which saw the growth of not only women’s golf but also a huge inspiration in the making of future golfers. But well, as all things eventually do come to an end, with the latest news from the LPGA, Commissioner Mollie Marcoux Samaan’s term of service is also ending and she will be stepping down from her position to spend more time with her “children as they live their dream.”

As per the press release of the LPGA, Samaan’s term is active till January 9, 2025. To find a replacement for the position, the LPGA Board of Directors with an executive search firm is on the lookout for the next commissioner. The search will be conducted globally, but who will manage the position until that time?

As per the LPGA, until the search for a new commissioner is on, Liz Moore will be assigned the role of interim commissioner. She will be working closely with Marcoux Samaan and the leadership team for a seamless transition. Moore has been associated with the LPGA for a decade. She is currently the tour’s Chief Legal and Technology Officer.
