This performance landed him a spot among the top six players who earned PGA Tour cards for the upcoming season. While he’s celebrating this big win, his thoughts are also with his loved ones, especially his wife, Maya Brown, and their adorable eight-week-old son.

The professional golfer and his 30-year-old wife just welcomed a new baby into their lives! But honestly, what’s even more fascinating is the story of how they fell in love. Lanto Griffin and Maya Brown have that perfect modern love story. Curious about their journey? Well, it kicked off on an online dating app called Bumble. But here’s the twist, Brown had a strict rule of not dating until after she passed her exam. But sometimes love just happens when you least expect it! And that’s exactly what happened with the attorney. Being matched with Griffin on the app completely changed her outlook.

At that time, Griffin was just passing through town while on his PGA tour in Greensboro, and he had to jet off again soon. The two lovebirds met for a drink and the spark hit them right away. It was one of those connections you just know is special! “We reconnected a month later in Nashville when Maya flew out to see Lanto play in a golf tournament,” the couple shared with Brides. On 14th September 2022, the two tied the knot on a beautiful autumn day at Dormie Club, an iconic golf course that’s a part of Dormie Network in North Carolina with over 310 acres that melt into the beautiful rolling hills. Lanto shared his joy on social media, saying, “Officially a married man!”

As they put it, “Troy, our dog, is a big part of our lives and means so much to us.” The couple is super passionate about animal rescue! They adopted Troy from S.A.F.E. Pet Rescue in St. Augustine, Florida, and even made a fund for the nonprofit organization part of their wedding registry.

Troy played such a significant role in their wedding as well. He was there during the preparations, bringing joy and love as they got ready, and even walked down the aisle with family during the ceremony. How adorable is that?
