As the golf world buzzes with excitement about the DP World Tour, one player who has been making waves is Julien Guerrier. This French professional is one of the best among the DP World Tour golfers. Undoubtedly the 39-year-old has made a string of impressive performances that have left fans talking about him. But have you ever wondered, where it all began? The credit goes to his family.
How did it all begin for Julien Guerrier?
The golfer was born on June 30, 1985. His love of golf began at a young age, during primary school to be precise. All thanks to his family. Julien Guerrier’s love of sports runs deep in his family. The 2024 Andalucía Masters winner was born into a sports-rich family. His grandpa was a fencing world champion who also played basketball for France while his father played football in France’s second division. But the girls in Guerrier’s family were no less! The French man’s mother also played basketball in France’s first division.

He quickly made a name for himself in the amateur golfing world. He received his first title by winning the Amateur Championship at Royal St George’s Golf Club in 2006. This prestigious title marked the beginning of Julien Guerrier’s successful golfing career. After playing the Masters in 2007 where he sadly missed the cut, he turned professional. Since then Guerrier has been working tirelessly to make a name for himself on the DP World Tour.
He won as an amateur on the Alps Tour in 2007 and won his second title the following year as he finished third on its Order of Merit to graduate to the Challenge Tour. Then he earned his DP World Tour card for 2010 and 2012 but sadly was unable to maintain his status in both years.
He won his first Challenge Tour title at the 2017 Hauts de France Golf Open. He followed it up with another win at the Irish Challenge in 2017. After this, he en route to graduating to the European Tour by finishing sixth in the Road to Ras Al Khaimah. Guerrier then finished 2018 at 86th on the money list and was able to retain his card for 2019. Sadly, he missed most of 2019 through injury, only returning in September.
After so much struggle, his first win on the European circuit came in 2024 at the Estrella Damm N.A. Andalucía Masters, where he defeated Jorge Campillo in a nine-hole playoff, tying the record for longest playoff with the 1989 KLM Dutch Open and 2013 Open de España.
Other than his win, Guerrier’s best DP World Tour result was at the 2023 Porsche European Open in Germany, where the champ gained the second position. Impressively, he also finished fourth at the Porsche European Open in 2024.
With these impressive results, it is safe to say that the boy is on fire! And speaking of fire, it’s not just his golf game that’s burning bright—his personal life is also filled with love and passion.
Julien Guerrier: A family man outside the greens

We all are well versed in Julien Guerrier’s love for golf, but what’s equally impressive is how good of a father and husband he is! The professional met his dream girl, Berenice Clavel, in 2013, and from then on, they have traveled to several places together. Some of them are Maldives, UAE, Singapore, and Megeve. Clavel is also seen cheering for her husband on the greens from outside the ropes.
But the ultimate hole-in-one happened in their lives when the two had their first baby back in 2013. A boy who they named Rafael Guerrier. But, it wasn’t too long later when the duo got pregnant again, but this time it was their daughter, Ana Guerrier, who blossomed the Guerrier family even more. Since then, the lovebirds have been unbreakable! Their passionate romance carried them off their feet, and eleven years later, on June 15th, they tied the knot. It was a beautiful ceremony.

But Guerrier’s not just a one-dimensional golfer. He’s a bit of a thrill-seeker and enjoys sports other than golf. As seen on his Instagram posts, the DP World Tour winner loves ice skiing, karting, sailing, and playing squash in his free time. Guerrier is also a bit of a world traveler, having represented France in several international golfing events.
