Jon Rahm is among the top golfers on the PGA Tour. The Spaniard is currently ranked 2nd in the Official World Golf Rankings. He has come a long way since turning pro in 2016. However, his caddie, Adam Hayes, deserves equal applause for staying with him and supporting him through thick and thin.

The duo came together in 2016, the year when Rahm turned pro. Since then, they have been a team and will hopefully remain together in the future. The duo has made incredible progress in six years, as the Spaniard was 126th in the OWGR in 2016. However, he is now the World no.2 and a major championship winner.
Jon Rahm and his caddie – Adam Hayes
Adam Hayes is one of the most experienced caddies on the PGA Tour. He studied at the University of Central Florida before starting his caddying career. He entered the world of caddying via the LPGA in 1999. He spent four years on the LPGA Tour before joining the PGA Tour in 2004.
Since then, he has caddied for prominent golfers on the PGA Tour like Webb Simpson, Russell Henley, Jason Dufner, Vaughan Taylor, and Ben Crance. Meanwhile, his first PGA Tour victory came in 2004 with Vaughan Taylor in the Reno Tahoe Open.

Hayes was caddying for Henley before joining Jon Rahm in mid-2016. However, handling the 2021 U.S. Open champion is not straightforward, as he is well known for his temper issues on the golf course. But Adam Hayes has gelled with Rahm well. He understands the competitive nature of the Spanish golfer and gives him his space.
The player-caddie duo has won seven PGA Tours and a major championship in six years. And even Rahm admits that Adam has played a crucial role in the success he has had so far.

Rahm has been vocal about how Hayes has helped him with all the success that he has had. Additionally, he believes Hayes is as competitive as him on the golf course. “I think the most important thing to understand with (Adam) is he wants to win as much as I want to win, and that’s the beauty of it,” believes Rahm.
Furthermore, Hayes also says he loves Rahm’s on-course spirit. “The best caddies are guys that just are almost like chameleons. They can read people’s personalities and learn their tendencies and they don’t try and change people. I’ve never tried changing Jon or anybody that I have ever worked for. Jon is who Jon is,” said Rahm’s caddie, Adam.
