Joaquin Niemann has made quite a name for himself on LIV Golf after his $100 million move. The Chilean golfer turned professional in 2018 after an impressive amateur career, ranking world No. 1 from May 2017 to April 2018. Arguably, the LIV star would not have made it this far—with 7 Chilean Tour wins and 2 PGA Tour victories—without the support of his loved ones. And at the forefront of them is Christina Hellema Puga, whom he first met back in 2017.

Who is Christina Hellema Puga?

Christina, or Titi (presumably her nickname as per her Instagram handle), was born in La Serena, Chile, on October 18, 1997. This year, she turned 26 and even celebrated her birthday with Niemann, sharing snippets of her celebrations with her fans on her Instagram stories. As per her Instagram bio, Mrs. Niemann is now an architect, having graduated with a bachelor’s degree from the Universidad del Desarrollo in Concepción, Chile.

The couple has been together officially since March 2017, hitting the 6-year mark in 2023. Christina has stood by the LIV golfer through thick and thin and was seen accompanying him at various events like the 2021 Masters and the Presidents Cup. At the Masters earlier this year too, Christina was seen playing with Neimann at the par-3 event at Augusta. The golf pro’s wife even posted about it on Instagram and wrote, “Nice experience on par 3… with Joaquin Niemann,” and ended her words with a pink heart emoji.

Titi also joined Niemann on the course at the majority of his LIV events and celebrated with him and his team, the Torque GC, who won three team events this year, at their most recent victory in Sotogrande, Spain.

Scrolling through her Instagram, one can assume that Mrs. Niemann, along with being an architect, is also an influencer with 17.7K followers who enjoys photography and travels with friends and family. Photos and videos of her surfing, rowing, and modeling can be found in abundance across her social media. Christina’s net worth is reportedly over $100,000, thanks to the various brands she endorses and her multiple income streams.

Christina’s journey to becoming Mrs. Joaquin Niemann

As mentioned earlier, the couple has been together for over 6 years; however, they were married only earlier this year. In July, Joaquin popped the question to Christina amidst the romantic winds of France. Sharing her excitement about the proposal in one of her posts, Christina exclaimed, “Yes, always yes.”

Two months later, on September 2nd, the duo tied the knot alongside close family and friends in La Serena, Chile. Christina, her three siblings—Janke Hellen Puga, Antonia Hellen Puga, and Tay Hellen Puga—and her parents, Coco Puga Medina and Aedzar Hellema, were all present at the wedding and congratulated the newlywed couple online on Instagram.

Niemann and Christina currently live in Florida, the hub of golfers. The pair do not have any children as of now and seem to enjoy a thrilling life full of travel and adventure. As they embark on this new journey now tied to marriage, the rest of the golf world showers them with well wishes for all that lies ahead!
