The 38-year-old LIV golfer, Jason Kokrak, who once shared that he wishes to retire at 44 years old, considers his family to be his greatest support. His parents, Kenneth Kokrak and Theresa Marcotte Kokrak, were instrumental in getting the golfer to begin playing young. At JFK High School in Warren, Ohio, where he played high school golf, he twice steered the Eagles to the Ohio state championship. He continued to play golf for Xavier University in Cincinnati, where he received his degree in 2007. But, its is his wife, Stephanie Kokrak, who he met more than a decade ago has been through all the ups and downs with him.

Stephanie Kokrak is believed to be born in Canada. Her parents are Kathleen and Martin Mrofchak. She was raised in a loving home that emphasized education and family. Stephanie and Jason first crossed paths early on in life. The couple grew up together in Ohio and went to JFK High School. However, they began dating in 2011.

As their bond grew over time, Stephanie and Jason Kokrak decided to get married and tied the knot in 2015 in Charlotte, North Carolina, at Saint Gabriel Catholic Church.

Education holds an important role in Stephanie Kokrak’s life

The golfer’s wife’s commitment to education has been evident throughout her career. Having graduated from the University of Akron with a bachelor’s degree in education, she is dedicated to the honorable profession of teaching. She works as a substitute teacher reinforces her passion for developing young minds and creating change off the greens.

Stephanie has been part of the Hudson Preschool Parents board since 2019 and is now associated with St. Mary’s Preschool. She is the Assistant Teacher of the morning Three Year Olds class. Other than teaching, she enjoys reading, music, nature and family time. She likes to work with young children because “of their innocence, the darndest things they say and excitement of learning new things.”

According to her, she has learned a couple of things from the young minds she shape. “Young children have taught me to let go of perfection, be silly and get a little messy!,” said Mrs. Kokrak.

Traditional family values and a private life

Beyond the limelight of professional golf, Stephanie and Jason Kokrak lead happy lives filled with straightforward joys and traditional family values. The couple has two sons; Declan James who was born in January 2017, and Landon John who was born in December 2018. Stephanie and Jason have chosen to keep their children’s lives private and grounded while embracing the joys and challenges of parenthood.

Before Stephanie became a mother, she used to teach in an integrated Pre-Kindergarten classroom in Charlotte for 5 years. The Kokrak family moved back to NE Ohio in the summer of 2019 after living in Charlotte, North Carolina for 10 years.

Stephanie’s social media activity, especially on her personal account @smrof_krak on Instagram, is usually kept under wraps. She appears to be a private person who loves to keep the details of her personal life locked up. Stephanie clearly prefers a close-knit group of friends and family over a large public audience, as evidenced by her small group of 650 followers.
