Isaiah Salinda, the 2024 Korn Ferry Tour grad, is engaged to his long-time girlfriend, Jackie McNulty. You open their social media feed, and you can spot pictures of them hanging out together. Or traveling.

It’s not clear how the couple met for the first time. Although one can hazard a guess, both are Stanford alums. From Salinda’s Instagram post, it is evident that they have been together for six years now. In December, Salinda posted snippets from his trip to Denver, where McNulty seems to be based now.

The couple went to Little Man Ice Cream, a popular dessert destination in Denver. That’s where Salinda also popped the question to her. A picture shows him kneeling and bringing out the ring. In another picture, McNulty shows the ring with a broad smile. Later, they popped the champagne as well.

Salinda’s Instagram feed reveals the couple loves to travel. In a series of pictures from 2023, which the PGA Tour pro captioned ‘5 years wrapped,’ Salinda and McNulty can be seen in different places—from beaches to mountaintops.

McNulty also travels with her boyfriend during tournaments. Again, their Instagram pictures show the couple standing near a grandstand at a PGA Tour event. She was in Panama last year when Salinda won the 2024 Panama Championship by eight strokes. Interestingly, McNulty is herself a sportsperson.

Jackie McNulty was Stanford’s top pole vaulter

McNulty was part of Stanford’s pole vaulting team for three years. As a senior in 2019, she was part of the Pac-12 All-Academic second team. That year, she also moved into the top ten of Stanford’s all-time pole vault list. Her stellar personal records show:

  • Pole vault: 13-4 (4.06m)
  • Triple jump: 39-3 3/4 (11.98m)
  • Long jump: 18-2 1/2 (5.54m)

Before college, Jackie McNulty was an ace athlete at her school. Hailing from Frederick, Maryland, she netted ten state individual championships there. McNulty also had a state indoor pole vault record of 13-3 ¼. In 2015, she was named the Gatorade Maryland Girls Track and Field Athlete of the Year, capturing four 2015 state 2A outdoor titles—pole vault, triple jump, long jump, and 4×400. She also maintained a 4.74 weighted GPA.

What’s your perspective on:

Does Jackie McNulty's athletic prowess outshine Isaiah Salinda's golf achievements, or do they complement each other?

Have an interesting take?

She is the epitome of a student-athlete in every step of the way. She is strong on the runways, and she is even stronger in the classrooms. Her athletic abilities are second to none, and the way she carried herself at meets was a beautiful thing to watch,” USA Sports quoted C.J. Ecalono, head coach of rival Urbana High, as saying in 2015.

A year before that, McNulty bagged three Maryland state 2A outdoor championships—pole vault, long jump, and triple jump. She also won the Emerging Elite pole vault title in a four-event qualifier for the New Balance Outdoor Nationals.

Jackie McNulty’s personal life and current status

Other than being an ace pole vaulter, McNulty was interested in gymnastics and diving. She was named the Frederick County Diver of the Year in 2012. She was also a state and regional champion in gymnastics. In 2014, Jackie McNulty was named Frederick County’s Female Athlete of the Year. Speaking to Frederick Post at that time, the Oakdale alum said, “It’s incredible to say I am going to Stanford.”

Aside from sports, McNulty was involved in various philanthropic and religious works as well. She spent time as a gymnastics instructor at the YMCA of Frederick County. She is also a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

During her time at Stanford, she volunteered for the Student Athletics Advisory Committee and the Partners for Academic Excellence Undergraduate Mentor. She was also part of Stanford’s Health Advocacy Program.

After graduating from Stanford University, Jackie McNulty joined Guidehouse as a healthcare consultant. After a brief stint there, she joined Impact Advisors as a senior healthcare consultant. Currently, she is at Revelstoke Capital Partners in Denver, Colorado. She is a senior associate at the Denver-HQ healthcare private equity firm.

McNulty and Salinda might lead different lives professionally, but their love for each other brings them together. Although the PGA Tour pro never revealed when he intends to get married, the day might come very soon.
