Hailing from Scotland, Darling was born in July 2003, currently pursuing her goals as a 21-year-old amateur golfer. She doesn’t like to talk a lot about herself, with 3.2k+ followers and merely 50+ posts on her personal Instagram account. Born to David and Moira Darling, the Scottish golfer has been pursuing her dream since the age of 13.
At a remarkably young age, Darling claimed victory in the Scottish Girls’ Amateur Championship in 2017, becoming its youngest-ever winner. Following that, she even represented herself at the Girls Home International. While the tournament didn’t conclude Darling’s early amateur career, she further clinched victory as the first-ever winner of the British Girls U16 Amateur Golf Championship.

Her amateur triumphs continued until April 2019, when she won the Scottish Girls’ Open Championship and in the same year, she represented Great Britain & Ireland in the Junior Vagliano Trophy in the European Ladies team championship. All of this was accomplished before Darling embarked on her college journey.
What does Darling’s college life look like?
What adds to the intrigue of her amateur career is that the aforementioned accomplishments came to Darling before 2021. In 2021, she started her college life at the University of South Carolina. Even during her college years, Darling continued to pursue her passion for golf and achieved respectable performances while pursuing a major in Psychology.
At the Curtis Cup in 2022, she competed for the second time in the tournament and advanced to the semi-finals of the Women’s Amateur Championship. After that, at the European Ladies Team Championship, she once again advanced to the qualifying stages with individual scoring. Although her academic pursuits are currently limited to this, Darling has never confined herself solely to the golf course.
