Chris Kirk has had a decent professional career spanning nearly 15 years. He turned pro in 2007 and has had 5 wins on the PGA Tour so far. He also has battled quite a few roadblocks in his professional journey because of his personal troubles, but the golfer has always persevered through with the support of his loved ones. 

Golfers usually are under a lot of mental pressure during the tournaments, and it really takes a toll on their overall health. One thing that helps reduce the uncertainties in their lives is knowing that they will soon be going home to their loving families. Who is Tahnee Kirk? 

Tahnee Kirk, Chris Kirk’s wife, was born in Georgia. She completed her school and college in the same state. She studied at Oconee County High School and later enrolled at the University of Georgia. She is a very private person and likes to stay away from the limelight and spotlight. Tahnee briefly indulged in writing through her blog ‘The Kirks On the Road’. In her blog, she shared snippets about her life with her husband and her family. The couple presently lives in Athens, Georgia, with her family, far away from the city’s noise.  

When did Kirk’s love story start? 

The couple met for the first time in 2008 and their story could not have been more beautiful and destined. The two met for the first time on the blueberry farm which was owned by their friend, when they were on their way to the Super Bowl. The couple began dating soon after, and they instantly were head over heels.

Just a year later, in 2009 the couple took their relationship to the next level. They got married in a beautiful ceremony on August 29th, 2009. Ever since the couple’s love has only grown stronger. Kirk often shares beautiful anniversary wishes for his wife on his Instagram, shows his love for her, and also expresses how grateful he is to have her in his life. 

Does the couple have any children? 

In the 14 years of their marriage, the couple has been blessed with three beautiful children. Tahnee and Chris Kirk have three boys whom they have named Foster, Sawyer, and Wilder.

Kirk’s house is a men-dominated house, but it is Tahnee who acts like the glue that binds their family together. Kirk once said in his Mother’s Day wish to her wife that he and his children would not be able to survive without her.

Despite being a very personal person, the 5X PGAT winner’s wife has made many appearances in various tournaments to cheer for her husband. She was present for his 2015 Crowne Plaza Invitational victory at the Colonial Country Club and for his Presidents Cup appearance later that same year. In 2023, the Kirk Squad, consisting of the golfer’s wife, and three beautiful children, was seen dressed in all white at Augusta.

Tahnee Kirk is the golfer’s pillar of support 

There was a dark time in the 31-year-old’s life when he was battling with depression and alcoholism. In 2019, he made an announcement that he was taking an indefinite leave from the game to make his life better and fight his issues. 

During his journey of recovery, his wife thought several times about why her husband could not quit drinking. After some time, research, and effort, she found her answer. She realized that her husband was going through something deeper and drinking wasn’t something that he could just stop in a moment. She spoke to the PGA Tour authorities later that year and shared that her husband’s healing has reached the desired levels.

After the golfer’s sober return, he spoke about how amazing his wife had been throughout his journey. She stood by his side like a rock and held him when he was battling his addiction. At the same, she raised three boys and took care of them alone. The golfer spoke that Tahnee’s unconditional love and her wanting the best for him and their family pushed him through the difficult times.
