Making his debut in 1998, Justin Rose struggled to climb to the pinnacle of the sport in the initial years. He recently garnered a total of $60 million in earnings on the PGA Tour. Who is Justin Rose’s wife, Kate Philips?

Philips was born on July 30, 1980. She was an International gymnast during her time at the University of Sussex. However, she decided to retire from the world of gymnastics after graduating. The soon-to-be Mrs. Rose then became an assistant at the IMG agency. It was at this post that Kate met her future husband.

During that timeline of 2000, Justin Rose was represented by the IMG firm and encountered Kate Philips several times in the tournaments that he was playing in. After six years of being in a relationship, the couple decided to further tighten their bond by getting married in 2006.

Rose and Philips tied the knot in Albany Resort, which led them to obtain residency in the Bahamas. In 2009, Philips gave birth to the couple’s first boy, Leo, and a daughter in 2012, Lottie. Following their marriage, Kate became a regular spectator of every PGA Tour event that Rose was competing in.

They immediately became the most recognized couple on the Tour. Philips even owns a racehorse gifted by her husband. The horse is named, ‘Master Merion’, which also happens to be the venue of Justin Rose’s 2013 US Open win. However, the Englishman rejects the idea of the name has to do with anything related to it.

Mr. and Mrs. Rose’s biggest decision

In 2009, the couple started their charitable organization named ‘Kate and Justin Rose Foundation‘ which aims to give underprivileged kid’s advice on nutrition, education, and experience. Apart from their philanthropic work, the Rose family also started a ladies’ Golf Tour.

The Rose Ladies Series was founded and organized by Justin Rose and Kate Rose in 2020. It gave the golf world a better idea about who Mrs. Rose is apart from being the biggest supporter of her husband.

Justin even changed his golf ball’s number to 99, since 9 is Kate’s lucky number. He included the number twice to double the luck.  After all, being together for nearly 23 years, their bond and love for each other only seem to get stronger.
