The LPGA Pro was working with Dan Champman, a veteran caddie and her guiding light for a long time. She credited him many a time as part of her family.

Who is Kurt Moskaly?

Moskaly is a caddie who grew up in the North Royalton region of Ohio and has an extensive background of accompanying several female golfers on the professional circuits. He entered the field of golf through the PGA’s PGM program which helps LPGA golfers establish their skills and credentials. Each golfer goes through a background check before being admitted into the program.

It was there that Kurt Moskaly met a player and they soon started dating. The identity of the golfer is unknown but it certainly boosted Moskaly’s passion for the sport and his desire to help female golfers achieve great heights with his knowledge and expertise.

Which female golfers have Moskaly worked with?

The Ohioan caddie who is accompanying Fulton, Mississippi’s pride and joy Ally Ewing at the AIG Women’s Open at the Walton Health Club has previously been associated with a number of prominent female golfers. For a very considerable amount of time, he worked alongside American LPGA Pro Megan Khang. The first Tour player of Laotian and Hmong descent praised her then-caddie profusely for his patience and support on the greens.

The two-time Solheim Cup player talked about him saying, “He’s got to be my fan, my caddie, my cheerleader all at the same time. I always put him in a predicament where he’s got five different hats on.” She also mentioned that he is a good listener and that he is a friend to her, which made her time working with him “fun and enjoyable.” During tough times, she also tried to raise funds to help out her friend and bagman.

At the HSBC Women’s World Championship in Singapore, the duo finished in 14th place, one spot above Celine Boutier, winner of the Amundi Evian Championship in 2023. The young caddie was seen fist-bumping with South Korean golfer hee Young Park who finished in 34th place.

Moskaly has demonstrated an innate understanding of players on the LPGA Tour and has been a friend to many. His warm and welcoming attitude makes him a good companion on the greens.

The caddie from the PGM Program is now a member of the PLTCA. When discussing his career as a prolific bagman, he opened up about his favorite golf course to play. Moskaly loved the Tara Iti Golf Club located in New Zealand. The golf course is designed per the American style which makes it a plausible destination for pro golfing events. The country club is located at Harbour Road in Northland by the Ocean.

Kurt Moskaly also shared what makes him so passionate about caddying. The professional caddie mentioned that he loves the travel associated with pro golf. It allows him to explore various destinations and exquisite private golf clubs. He also talked about the thrill of playing on different golf courses every week.

The tranquility of the golf clubs coupled with the companionship of rising stars on the professional circuit makes the job challenging, which is what he loves.

Ewing worked with Dan Chapman for a period of time, and the duo worked quite well together. However, switching over to associate with Megan Khang’s former caddie Kurt Moskaly has taken her game to new heights.

At the 2023 AIG Women’s Open, the American golfer finished round 2 with a 5-shot lead over Andrea Lee. Ewing and her caddie took the substantial leap forward to make the cut in first place with 4 consecutive birdies from the 6th to the 9th. She also shot three more birdies on the 3rd, 11th, and 16th holes, followed by a single bogey on the final 18th.

She started round 2 with 4-under 68 and finished with a total of 10-under. The partnership with her new bagman seems to be working spectacularly in her favor.
