Alison Lee is one of the trending names on the LPGA circuit. But besides golf, she also partakes in having an active social life on Instagram and regularly updates her fans about her golf endeavors and leisure time outings. The American professional golfer is still an undergraduate student at the University of California, Los Angeles.
The golfer turned professional in 2014 and joined the LPGA back in 2015, but as of now, she has no wins on the tour. In LET, she garnered one event win. Back in her amateur days, between 2013 and 2014, she acquired the first place in the World Amateur Golf Ranking list for sixteen weeks. Talking about her amateur days, let’s take a quick peek!
Alison Lee’s amateur and professional career

Alison has an extensive career record from her amateur days. She spent a long time on the AJGA circuit. She was a part of the squad for six years, from 2008 through 2013. Added to that, she even bagged nine event titles and payouts as a victor.
Now, talking about her patriotic journey, she displayed her expertise on the Junior Solheim Cup team for Team USA. She even helped her team to have three victories in the years 2009, 2011, and 2013. The story doesn’t end here. She played on the Junior Ryder Cup team in 2010 and 2012. Also, in 2014, she played for the Curtis Cup team.
Going forward, she played golf at the college level as well for a season and a half at UCLA. Then later in December, she turned professional. The list of her amateur wins includes the 2010 Mission Hills Desert Junior, the 2012 Annika Invitational, the 2013 Rolex Tournament of Champions, the 2014 PAC-12 Championship, the 2014 North and South Women’s Amateur, and others.
After her amateur journey, Lee became a professional golfer in 2014 and later qualified for the LPGA Tour by triumphing in the last stage of the LPGA Qualifying Tournament. As far as her victories are concerned on the professional circuit, she bagged one win on the Ladies European Tour. She won the Aramco Team Series- Sotogrande in August 2021. She came out triumphant over Ashleigh Buhai with five strokes with a score of 15-under par.

Although she was a rookie in 2015, she managed to qualify for the American Solheim Cup team based on her world ranking. In 2015, she played in four matches and has a Solheim Cup record of 1-3-0. Aside from golf, the LPGA pro also partakes in larger-than-life endeavors.

Back in 2022, the LPGA ‘Drive On’ series was organized for golfers to talk about golf, their lives, and everything amidst the games. Then the people’s favorite, Alison Lee, took center stage as she spoke about her own ideologies about mental health.
She said, “People don’t see that side of golf. They don’t see the anxiety, the mental anguish on both the women’s and men’s tours. The pressures that are set on us by ourselves and society,” reflecting on the peer pressure a golfer bears.

Adding to that, she said, “We are all just one shot away from believing we are the number one player in the world or one shot from wanting to throw it all away”. Lee’s message won the hearts of several golf fans. Along with the previous statements, she also talked about her relationship with golf.

“I am still here. Battling through these struggles every day, because I have to stay strong. Because I love this crazy game of golf with everything it gives and everything it takes. No path is ever easy, and no two paths are ever the same. That is what it takes to show up every week and unlock your full potential.”
Lastly, her concluding lines came as a respite from loneliness. “You have to find the light in your darkest moments. I’m getting there- one step, one swing, one round, one day at a time. And I am not alone. Who’s with me?”
