Alexa Pano is one of the youngest golf stars the sport has ever seen. Born on August 20, 2004, in Westborough, Massachusetts, she’s been quite amazing on the greens to date. She started playing golf when she was only five years old and turned professional by the time she turned 17. Pano did it all at such a young age!

Before beginning her journey in the golf world, the young golfer was featured in a Netflix documentary, The Short Game, at the U.S. Kids Golf World Championship 2012. In the documentary, Alexa Pano said she wanted to be the first woman ever to play in a tournament at the Augusta. Her amateur years in the golf industry began when she was 11. The golfer was the first three-time national finalist in the Drive, Chip, and Putt competition.

With her charming achievements, she became the youngest golfer ever to compete in a Japan LPGA Tour event at the 2016 Yonex Ladies Open. 2019 was the year that Pano’s dream came true when she was selected as the youngest player for the inaugural Augusta National Women’s Amateur after her epic win at the American Junior Golf Association’s 2019 Rolex Girls Junior Championship. Having competed in six events on the LPGA Tour at the 2020 Walmart NW Arkansas Championship, Pano said goodbye to her amateur years.
The young golfer turned professional in the year 2022. She got her well-deserved place on the Epson Tour and earned a whopping $76,195. Her 19th birthday might be her best yet because she finished T21 on the LPGA Qualifying Series and got the card for the 2023 LPGA Tour. In 2023, her career started taking shape for the better when she won her first LPGA Tour at the ISPS Handa World Invitational.
She played 21 events and made 12 cuts in the same year. This ended up in her making a huge earning of $442,855. Throughout her time in the sport, the golfer has built a solid support system of friends.

Having played with each other for most of their amateur years, Alexa Pano and Rose Zhang are ready for the professional fight on the greens. They are pairing up for the 2024 Dow Championship. In an interview with the LPGA Tour, Zhang said with a smile, “I’m super excited,” addressing the upcoming event.

“It’s kinda fun to go into this week knowing we’re really good friends, ever since we were itty-bitty,” she continued. This statement indicates that both golfers are good friends and seem very close on or off the field.

Pano added to the conversation, adding, “I think the theme for this week is to have as much fun as possible”. The golf sensation also posted pictures with Zhang and Grace Kimmey on her Instagram on the Rolex Awards with the caption, “Girls’ night out at the Rolex Awards” and by the looks of it, they seem very close.
