What an enigma is Phil Mickelson on the Golf Course! He has won 45 events during his time on the PGA Tour, which is an astoundingly high number. He has also won six majors, which include three titles in Masters Tournaments, two titles in the PGA Championships, and one title in the 2013 Open Championship.
Since the legendary golfer defected to LIV Golf, there had been speculations about whether he will attend the US Open, which he did and sadly missed the cut. But now, with the prestigious Open Championship on the horizon, the golf world is buzzing about whether or not he will play in the event. Although Lefty did not make a statement, his actions may indicate his answer.

I saw Lefty practicing his shots on the Royal Liverpool golf course in Hoylake with an audience in attendance to witness the epic golfer and his extraordinary exploits.
The crowd was amazed but not all in the golfing world were delighted to find out that Mickelson is playing at the 151st Open Championship. And the reason behind that is his defection to LIV golf.
Will Mickelson miss another cut? Massive speculation at work!
Mickelson has a wide fan following which he amassed with his hard work and remarkable shots on the golf course for 31 years since he turned pro. He was a golf prodigy and won his first PGA tour event while he was still an amateur. Therefore, his fans are dedicated to him. But that doesn’t make Lefty a favorite with everyone.
His controversial switch over to the Saudi-backed tour turned many PGA loyalists against him. With the tweet about him practicing at Royal Liverpool, the golfing community expressed their reactions in many forms. Phil Mickelson’s fans are delighted, sharing words of wisdom. “Phil,…. please don’t put the Driver in your bag. Stick with the irons or 3 wood. Gotta keep the ball low out of the wind and on the fairways. You’ll be doing yourself a favor,” one fan wrote. While another fan was delighted by the shot commenting, “Whip central.”

There were also some who seem to have lost faith in the 53-year-old golfer since US Open 2023. One of them called out his tragic finish saying, “Who cares.”
