The English golfer was born to Russel and Susan Fitzpatrick on 1 September 1994. Hailing from a family with a sporting background, they have had a big impact on his career as a golfer. He grew up following Christianity as his religion with his family in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England. While Matt has been taking center stage, both his parents have maintained a low profile and rarely get out into the spotlight. But even so, they have become popular, and not just because of their son’s achievements.

Russel was a former professional football player who played for the likes of teams such as Sheffield United, Chesterfield, and Rotherham United. Moreover, the PGA Tour pro’s father has been an avid fan of the game of golf. He introduced his son to the sport at the age of 10 and has been an incredible source of support for the golfer.

Matt’s mother, Susan, is a former school teacher who currently works as his personal assistant. She has been instrumental in her son’s growth on and off the course while guiding him toward success in his sporting career. While much isn’t available about his parents, it is very evident that they have been a source of steadfast support for the English golfer as he battles it out in various tournaments.

From his early days as a golfer where he rose to the No. 1 ranks as an amateur, his parents have been by his side helping him grow in a loving and caring environment. It is evident that he would not have made it this far without them.
