Whenever you accomplish something great, who is the first person that comes to mind to celebrate with? For college golfer Kiara Romero, it might be her sister, Kaleiya. Growing up in San Jose, California, Kiara began playing golf at just six years old. Throughout her journey, her parents and Kaleiya remained her unwavering support system.
Born on 7 March 2006, Kiara Romero is the daughter of Rick Romero and Maricel Romero. She spent her childhood in San Jose, California, with two siblings, Kyreece and Kaleiya. Interestingly, she inherited this sporting gene from her family. Her father, Rick, was a basketball player at UC Irvine in his early days. The college golfer’s grandfather, Lon Romero, played baseball at San Jose State. Meanwhile, there is no information about her mother, Maricel’s childhood. Additionally, not much can be found about her parents online, keeping it private but one thing is for sure that they did support thier daughter in her golf journey.
As for her sister, Kaleiya, she is also a talented golfer. Kaleiya completed her schooling at Evergreen Valley High School, located in San Jose. During this time, she also played high school golf. Moreover, Kalieya was the Blossom Valley Athletic League MVP as a freshman and sophomore. She later completed her graduation from California Connections Academy with a major in psychology, an online school, in 2020.
