Charley Hull has become a popular name on the LPGA circuit. The English golfer has earned honors like Rookie of the Year on both the LPGA and LET Tours. The reason behind the early recognition was her selection for the Solheim Cup at the age of 17, and now she will be flying to Spain to make her sixth appearance in the biennial event.
Another reason was that she became a winner on the European Tour before the age of 18. The words of praise don’t just end here for the 27-seven-year-old. After she turned professional in 2013, she secured five in-line runner-up finishes.
Then, considering her current performances, she is having quite the LPGA season so far. The golfer has shown terrific putting from the start of the season. She finished second at the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions. Besides, she has had quite a few best-ten finishes, and the list includes majors like the US Women’s Open (tied 2nd) at the iconic Pebble Beach and the AIG Women’s Open (solo second) at Walton Heath Golf Club. In the Kroger Queen City Championship a few days back, she lost in the play-off. In short, it has been a great year so far for her. Now, in her successful career, two consistent members supported the LPGA phenom through all the highs and lows — these are the people she holds in high regard.

Meet Charley Hull’s support systems
Charley Hull has made a real name for herself on the LPGA circuit with her performances. Now, the entire credit for this success is shared by two of her family members. At the age of just 13, Hull stepped back from the official school system and was homeschooled until graduation. The vital decision was taken by her grandparents when they learned of the lady’s inclination toward golf.
Her father, Dave Hull, is credited with having played one of the pivotal roles in her initiation into golf. Dave was a plasterer by profession but he managed to find time to provide early golf training to his little girl on most days. Hull was introduced to golf at the age of two. Since then, both the father and daughter duo have played golf at the Kettering Golf Club, and those practice sessions have helped hugely in shaping Hull’s career.
The family influence doesn’t just end here. Her mother, Basienka Hull, also impacted the golfer’s life choices greatly. Basienka was a country-level tennis player, and thus, the fondness for sports runs in the family. Hull’s mother is of Polish descent, so it is safe to say she is part Polish.

First-class LPGA Phenom and her father go in for B&B: the duo stay grounded ahead of a major
Golf is often considered an aristocratic sport. Displaying a totally different inclination, LPGA phenom Charley Hull chose an ordinary lifestyle amid one of the biggest tournaments in women’s golf. The story is from the 2013 Amundi Evian Championship. The athlete and her father, Dave, deliberately eschewed the five-star amenities catered to them. The rules said Hull should be escorted but that wouldn’t dominate their lifestyle preferences.

“We stayed in a posh place the first night,” said Dave later. He also mentioned how much he prefers their homely environment over luxury.”It was chucking it down and late, and we couldn’t find our digs. It was nice enough but we love it in our little place up the hill.”
Dave and Charley chose to stay grounded. Dave shed light on the admirable quality.“Those things will come. The most important thing is Charley’s golf. We didn’t want to complicate things. There have been offers and things will develop, but we didn’t want any distractions this year.”
His words clearly reflect his priorities, and as a father, Dave wanted Hull’s game not to be compromised because of any outside distractions. What do you think of Charley Hull’s parents? Let us know in the comments below.
