For some time now, one of the greatest traditions of the Men’s US Open is that it finds its winner on Father’s Day which falls on the third Sunday of June.
Hence, it was only obvious for the champion of this year’s event to remember his father on such an occasion. Wyndham Clark?expressed his gratitude for both his parents — for his father as well as his deceased mother — following his first major win in Los Angeles on Sunday. Other LPGA Tour Stars also celebrated the occasion in their own style.

After winning a purse of?$3.6 million, Wyndham Clark sat down for a press meet. The interviewers were curious about his game, the thought process during the final round, and other personal moments on the field. One question, in particular, allowed the golfer to show his love for his dad.
He wished his dad Randall Clarke on this special occasion who could not be with the golfer at the LACC. Randall has had a great influence on Wyndham’s career, all the more after the golfer’s mother passed away in 2013.
Wyndham went on to add how he cannot wait to celebrate the occasion with his dad. This manifests what a great family guy the new champion is.
Wyndham Clark also credited his mom, Lise Clark.?”She called me winner when I was little, so she would just say, ‘I love you, Winner.’ She had that mantra of play big,” he said.
Lastly, Wyndham also heaped praise on his caddie John Ellis. A couple of years ago, Ellis had lost his dad, and the US Open champion hoped that the victory would bring joy to John’s dad as well since it was Father’s Day.

The legendary Michelle Wie West wished her husband and dad on this special occasion. She posted a picture of her husband, Jonnie West, with their daughter and showered him with love for being a great dad.
But it would have been incomplete without the mention of her own father. She called her dad the “best support“.
The World No.18, Danielle Kang, also uploaded an emotional post for her dad. She wrote, “Happy Father?s Day to all the Dads out there. I miss mine every day. Dad, you are an Absolutely Legend. Love you.”
The picture in there showed a smiling father-daughter duo with Kang’s father caddying for her. Sadly, KS Kang passed away in 2013 from cancer.
