The Ryder Cup, which was taking place at Marco Simone Golf and Country Club, concluded two weeks ago, as Europe took home the trophy with a score of 16.5-11.5. Even this year, the USA couldn’t go against their 30-year Ryder Cup curse on European soil. Despite all the failures, the wounded American veterans have moved on with their lives with the spirit, ‘let bygones are bygones‘,.

Now, recently an online banter engaged opponents of both squads, involving Justin Thomas and his Ryder Cup rival. Both the golfers were seen sharing a friendly jest.

This year’s Ryder Cup drama turned out to be quite unexpected. The series of events that followed was unprecedented and took many by surprise. The US struggled to score the bare minimum while the Europeans thrived on their dominance on their country’s soil.

And as far as Justin Thomas is concerned, he got into the team as one of the six captain’s picks. Zach Johnson went against all odds and gave Thomas a chance, though he was in really poor form. But ultimately, the golfer failed to meet the expectations of his team. Out of four matches, he only won one and tied another.

Now, two weeks after the tournament was over, an opponent reminded Justin Thomas of his failure in a way to provoke a pun. Thomas recently posted pictures of his Italy trip with the caption, “Lake Como photo dump. The Italian vacation has come to an end. What a beautiful place!”

As the post went viral, Shane Lowry, the Irish golfer who played in the Ryder Cup Europe team, wrote, “Any pics from Rome”, given that the Ryder Cup took place in Italy’s capital Rome. In reply to that, Thomas again wrote, “Shane it’s been two weeks and was starting to forget”. Thus, both the golfers engaged in friendly banter with each other. Apart from this, let’s take a look at their performances in the Ryder Cup.
