The LPGA is now preoccupied with the 2023 Kroger Queen City Championship. The Ohio Kenwood Country Club is the venue for the event. The top players are vying for an incredible $1.75 million, and the winner takes home a sizeable $300,000. Peiyun Chien of Taiwan, who is attempting to win her first LPGA Tour event, holed out for eagle on the sixth hole on Friday to shoot an 8-under 64 and take a four-shot lead.
But some top golfers have missed the cut. This includes 2023 US Open Champion Allisen Corpuz as well as Jennifer Chang. However, Swiss golfer Morgane Métraux is making headlines because of her exceptional game at the event. And she spills the secrets behind her game. Let’s dive in!

26-year-old golfer’s decision-making at the centre of her great show
This year, Métraux will aim to surpass her tenth-place finish at the 2022 Kroger Queen City Championship. In the past year, she has played in 21 events. Her average finish was 36th, with two top-10 finishes, and her best finish was fourth.
After round two, Métraux addressed the media and discussed her game. A reporter brought to her notice she had had just one bogey over the first two days and how she managed that. The Swiss golfer credited her decision-making for making very few errors.
”Been hitting a lot of 3-wood, 5-wood, trying to stay out of trouble as much as possible, use the widest parts of the fairways, and then stay on the correct side of the pin; land it short when needed,” said Métraux. ”So mostly just decision making,” she added.

Soon after graduating from college in 2018, Métraux began her professional career. Her first professional win came on the 2021 Symetra Tour. In the final round, she overcame a three-shot disadvantage to emerge triumphant. “My putting worked really well. I made several long and medium-length putts. That doesn’t happen every day,” said Morgane Métraux.
She received an exemption into the 2021 Evian Championship thanks to the win. In 2022, Métraux obtained a fully exempt card for the whole LPGA Tour season. Last year, she also won the Ladies Italian Open.
