Tiger Woods and Justin Timberlake’s venture, T-Square Social, opened its first bar in New York, Manhattan. The duo had the idea to revamp the historical cinema, The New Picture House, in St. Andrews, Scotland into a sports bar.

However, right after the announcement, the St. Andrews University students filed a petition and garnered the support of more than 7500 people. Expressing their displeasure with the revamp, they said, “We share a common fear for future generations who may be denied the opportunity to experience this cultural hub. It’s a part of our identity, a source of pride, and an integral element of our town’s fabric. To allow it to fade away would be a disservice to our rich heritage and the generations yet to come.”

Amidst the chaos surrounding T-Square Social, Woods’ other project, TGL showed him a ray of hope. After being added as the 20th player, Min Woo Lee exclaimed his excitement. He said, “I’m trying to do my best and compete with these guys. I’ll be really excited. Hope I can get a couple of big boys and we end up winning.”

TGL will be starting from 9th January 2024 at 9 p.m. on ESPN and ESPN+. The league has confirmed 4 teams and 20 players. Stay tuned for more exciting additions!
