Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy’s TGL has started preparation for the 2024 inaugural season. However, before the first edition, the struggles of the highly deemed league are far from over. The first hiccup was the Spanish golfer Jon Rahm exiting the league.
Now, the weather has betrayed TGL, affecting the new arena badly. The recent videos of destruction to the SoFi Center have caught the eyes of golf fans. As most could not fathom the idea of a simulator golf game in TGL, they took this opportunity to berate it further.

TMRW Sport’s newest venture, TGL, will be played in a custom-built arena in Palm Beach, Florida. The high-tech SoFi Center is situated on the campus of the Palm Beach State College. It will hold nearly 2,000 spectators in the approximately 250,000 sq. ft. venue.
The SoFi Center has an air-inflated dome, which was affected by the power outage on November 14. The released footage shows the damage done to the property, which is pretty bad. The schedule of the TGl season may get disturbed. However, nothing is confirmed yet.
The TGL spokesperson said in a statement, “An overnight failure to the temporary power system used during the construction phase caused deflation and damage to the air-supported dome section of the site.”

He also expressed that “there were no injuries, and no technology was impacted. Other work on site is continuing.” Moreover, noting the extent of the damage, he said, “At this time, while we assess the damage, it is too early to determine the impact on our timelines.” As the video got out on social media, the opposers of the league had fun tearing it down further.
Simulator golf skeptics make fun of the unfortunate situation
There are heavy investments involved in TGL with various team owners and broadcasters. According to this individual, before it gets worse and the investors lose money, the league should be discontinued.
Honestly probably better to pull the plug now and save some of the investors money.

The league is expensive to build. However, this fellow blamed the “cheap exterior” as the cause of destruction. He also suggested having Saudi Arabia as the partner, just like LIV Golf.
Went cheap on th exterior it seems, might need a Saudi investment 🤑

This fan took a humorous path, asking maybe LIV golfer Phil Mickelson is behind the undoing.
Do we know the whereabouts of @PhilMickelson when this happened?

Taunting over the money spent in building the arena, this fan was confused as to why it could not endure rainfall.
50 million dollar tent couldn’t handle a light rainstorm on Wednesday 👀

Another man wished that TGL would stop before even starting. He suggested that maybe God is against it, too.
Maybe God doesn’t wanna watch it either.

TGL will start on January 9, 2024. As per the spokesperson, the schedule will probably not be changed. The destruction was caused by a technical problem. Whatever the issue, it seems it will be taken care of before the league starts. And the people who wished against it may be disappointed.
