The inception of LIV Golf has seen some of the greatest players of the PGA Tour defecting to the new league. Take Phil Mickelson, for instance. He was one of the biggest signings, with a reportedly hefty amount of $200 million. While the 6X major champion did manage to become the face of LIV Golf, it came at a huge cost.

Lefty lost many sponsors including Heineken, KPMG, and Workday, after the move. This happened after Alan Shipnuck published his statements about LIV Golf Investment, which operated the series. Callaway only paused their partnership at the time, but the remaining three did not want to be a part of any controversy and straightaway cut all ties with him. However, times seem to be changing, and LIV Golf might no longer be as big a taboo in the business industry as it used to be!

Bryson DeChambeau and Crushers GC seem to have formed a new partnership with Reebok for the 2025 LIV Golf League season, as the reigning U.S. Open champion was spotted wearing their latest gear like shoes and polo t-shirt on the cover of Golf Digest. The Scientist graced the cover ahead of The Crypto Showdown on December 17, where he will team up with Brooks Koepka to face off against PGA Tour stars Rory McIlroy and Scottie Scheffler in a high-profile match. It seems that DeChambeau’s popularity is paying off, and exceptional online presence sure plays a role in it.

The 31-year-old has garnered a whopping 1.63 million fans on his YouTube channel with his unique challenges and peculiar videos. The Break 50 and his ace from the house challenges were hits in the golf world. Signing up with him would only mean a boom for the company. Golf Lover UK took to their official X account and shared the closeup of the GD cover wherein $2.5 billion worth brand’s logo was visible.

Bryson DeChambeau joined LIV Golf in June 2022. He signed a four-year, $125 million contract with the league. The moment the news came out, he had already lost one of his biggest sponsors. Rocket Mortgage ended its sponsorship deal with Bryson DeChambeau, issuing a brief statement. “Effective immediately, Rocket Mortgage has terminated its sponsorship agreement with Bryson. We wish him well in his future endeavors,” they revealed. As a key partner of the PGA Tour, Rocket Mortgage also sponsors the Rocket Mortgage Classic in Detroit, a tournament DeChambeau won in 2020. After playing for a month in the league, he lost another sponsor.

On July 12, 2022, Bridgestone Golf parted ways with Bryson DeChambeau, closing a six-year-long relationship. Jonathan Wall shared the news and wrote, “The PGA Tour is an extremely important part of professional golf, and Bridgestone has a sports marketing relationship with this highly visible series of tournaments.” Since DeChambeau was no longer a part of those events, the company thought it made no sense to have a deal with him. But well, look what his resilience has done. It has entirely changed the landscape, not just for him, but for LIV Golf.
